Drive
Rating: 6/10

I was speechless after watching this movie and I found it hard to decide if that was a good or bad thing. The first hour or so of this movie will be extremely boring and uneventful if you’re expecting action, car chases and sex appeal. Very few words are spoken and I mean it; they make Ryan Gosling seem mute in this movie. Gosling’s lack of talking makes the movie awkward at times. From 0-60 minutes into the movie, people were leaving the theater, but after 60 minutes, things started to come together and the action and dialog picked up. A forbidden woman and her child are the catalyst that causes Gosling to open up and go for the dark loner, to a compassionate, revengeful hero of sorts.
Recommendation: If you are not an adamant moviegoer, I do not suggest this movie unless it’s on TV or Netflix and you are bored. If you know a thing or two about movies, definitely go see it. It’s a breath of fresh air, a original concept and the way the movie is made is unique compared to the Hollywood movies now-a-days.
