Could this be Brad Pitt’s Jerry Maguire? No, it wasn’t a classic, but it was definitely a good movie. You do not need to know anything about baseball or the team this is based off to enjoy it. They were bold in casting Jonah Hill in a serious role and even Brad Pitt in a non-action movie or even a movie where he does not take his shirt off. However, both these actors performed well and
were believable. This movie is pretty emotional in that it gives the viewer an insider’s view of how a baseball team is run and the disparity between teams like the Yankees and Athletics.
Recommendation: I would suggest seeing it in the theater but since it has been out for awhile you might as well wait for its DVD release. This movie will definitely keep you entertained for the entire two hours or so.
