I was extremely excited for this movie to come out. Justin Timberlake is really making a name for him self as an actor(Friends with Benefits, Social Network, voice overs, and SNL skits). The concept is original and refreshing in today’s world of remakes, squeals , and re-use of ideas. This movie is about society where no one ages past the age of 25 and once you hit 25 you clock starts ticking. You get 1 year worth of time and it is used as currency. The more you work the more time you get to live. With the occupy movement going on this movie could have piggy backed off that wave and been hugely successful. This movie mimics today’s society where very few posses all the time(money) and the majority do all the hard work and live day to day where any day can be their last.
As for the film its self, it was not done to its potential. With an original plot, and real life events matching the movie, this movie had all the momentum. However, do to poor direction and acting this movie failed to deliver. I am being so harsh because this movie could have been so much better. I do not like how Justin is a normal guy one day , then the next is this badass taking down the system. Just seemed out of no where. The movie does get better as it goes with the last 30 mins or so as the best.
Recommendation:Egh see it in theaters but go during the week when its cheaper. Now worth a Friday or Saturday night movie date, but definitely worth seeing. You wont be bored with the movie at all. The last 30 mins are the best part of the movie.
